They’re focusing to the education for little children, but some of the big students are still not enough skill for reading and writing Khmer, so they aim to improve the basic ability, and setting the library.

Also it is very important not only for volunteer teachers but for entering university to earn English ability, so they put emphasis on Basic English literacy, they said.

They’re running the private school in the village, and it takes a role of complement education for children, even it’s aim to improve the cultivation of aesthetic, moral, and religious sentiments. Moreover they train the volunteer teachers, and give a chance to consider about their future and next goal for the young people who cannot find the way after graduating school.

They also train the youth to be able to promote themselves and to do something for develop their community.

The village school has been going well, and they’re be welcomed by villagers, especially they like English and Dancing class. Some mothers bring their children to ask to teach for their children.

But there are still several issues with the authorities of commune that they’re still not recognized as an official school by the Ministry of education, so they need to talk about it with them.

About this issue Mr. Hang Vandet would support them by introducing an administration of the person in charge, they said.

And the new kindergarten will be built in next year supported by KOICA, and they want to make a new library attached to the kindergarten. But they don’t have any budget of it, so it is an urgent problem, and it would take the cost about $8,500.

We proposed from our side what we can offer and recommend for them.

>Whet we can offer

1. Making the Video introducing Sna Dai Khmer’s activities.

They said that they want to use the PV for internal introducing, but also to show the people of abroad and look for volunteer English teacher in the village. Show their activities and the message from each member.

2. Making brochure of hygiene and first aid.

3. Set up crowd funding to collect the fund to build library.

>What we can do together

1. Promoting the educational program based on Buddha Teaching picture book.

Dialogue style workshop using worksheet would promote students to talk each other and share the opinion. So it is good way for participants to have a chance to express their opinion, and to be concerned with the dialogue positively, moreover to understand about the Buddha story deeply.

2. Collaboration of moral teaching book in Khmer

Renewal the Buddha Teaching book through taking the actual situation in Cambodia, and hearing the people from every walk of life.

From the side of Sna Dai Khmer, they said they might help us to spread the Buddha teaching book, introduce the members of youth club which Ms. Rathana had belonged.

The youth club organized in 15District of 2 Province such as Cracheat and Preyveing, and there are 10 to 15members in each group.

They are thinking about these young people to be able to communicate each other, and the fund that Mr. Okada had donated would use for the case to be short of their transportation fee.

And they introduced us one university temple in Phnom Penh, they make the lecture to the citizen how to make use of Buddha teaching, and we might do some activities together, they said.

We spent a lot of time and talked each other about various topics, including the story why they start the activities, and promise to study English and Japanese, so that we can communicate and understand each other more and more. We ensured to keep in touch and say good bye at the last moment of the airport.
